Music Factory Records’ Peter Daniel follows up his lead single, “Come Back Together,” with his debut album, Quartets. The ten-track LP is chock-full of songs that blend various genres of music, such as Funk, Jazz, and Soul. The album is true to form as most songs on the album are performed by four acts.

Renowned saxophonist Peter Daniel did an amazing job at assembling his ensemble. Each song on the album has its own distinctive sound. “Each track came to life with a different group of musicians that I’ve known and played with for years.” Peter Daniel continues, “The goal was to capture the energy of community and to let each quartet bring something unique to the table.” For example, “Grant. Me. This.,” which ironically features drummer Grant Schroff, has a Boom Bap/Neo-Soul meets Jazz sound. In contrast, “Ace High,” which features drummer Ehssan Karimi, has an up-tempo Jazz sound.

The musicians that Peter Daniel also enlisted include Marina Albero (Fender Rhodes, piano), Joe Doria (Hammond organ), Andy Coe (guitar), RL Heyer (guitar), Marina Christopher (Upright and electric bass), Jason Gray (bass), Xavier D. Lecouturier (drums), Heather Thomas (drums), and Cliff Porter Jr. (drums, vocals). Peter Daniel produced Quartets, while Jason Gray of Blue Mallard Recording was the recording engineer and mixed Quartets. Blake Bickel of Dynamic Sound Services provided his mastering touch. The no-skip album is perfect for any occasion and the byproduct of a dynamic team.
