“Ostrov,” which means “My Own Island” in English, has a haunting soundscape. The song features Mars_999’s raw, emotive vocals. Mars_999’s vocal arrangement is distinctive and unique, and blends well with the hard-hitting, eclectic instrumentation. The song is a commentary on the human experience through an introspective/extrospective lens. “‘Ostrov’ is an exploration of alienation, intimacy, and human connection in a surreal world,” Mars_999 explains.
