Boston’s Munk Duane kicked off the year with a nine-track album, Fearless Moral Inventory, which put an end to his two-year hiatus. The recording artist, producer, and film composer puts an end to an era with his latest single, “Falsify.” “Falsify” closes the chapter on his use of his current moniker, which came to fruition during the pandemic.

“Falsify,” written and produced by Munk Duane and mastered by GRAMMY Award-winning engineer Brian Lucey, is an epic send-off. The vibrant record borrows sounds from various genres of music: Alternative, Indie Pop, Rock, Synth-Pop, etc. The song’s darker soundscape and Munk Duane’s emotive, raw vocals accentuate the record’s overall theme. “‘Falsify’ expresses a visceral sense of betrayal and frustration in today’s climate of political and social manipulation and corruption.” Munk Duane continues, “The sound and sentiment are both a final punctuation.”

As one door closes, another one opens. Munk Duane is already working on a novel project. “I’m working on a new project called Circles of Saints, born from the lessons that I’ve learned composing for film,” Munk Duane states. While the future project is brewing, press play on Munk Duane’s curtain call, “Falsify.”
