Los Angeles-based musician Eddie Cohn shares his first release of the year, “Weight of the World.” The song is a poignant, thought-provoking Rock anthem. Eddie Cohn’s raw, impassioned vocals and extrospective/introspective lyrics shine on “Weight of the World.”

“Weight of the World” dives into the inundation of news and technology. The song tackles the negative effects of the constant bombardment of information in the screen time era. “It dives into the overwhelming influx of information and constant digital noise, and reflects on the impact of technology on our daily lives.” Eddie Cohn continues: “We obviously live in a world that is so fast paced with nonstop news feeds, social media feeds, and an overwhelming amount of information. I am supportive of the technology that we have all been gifted with, but of course, I think a lot about the emotional impact that these devices have on our minds and our ability to relax. I wonder if the constant hum of info and news feeds is too much for our brains to handle.”

The single-location music video for “Weight of the World” depicts Eddie Cohn strumming his guitar and performing the record. The captivating visual, directed by Leslie Andrew Ridings, accentuates the song’s emotive sound. The one-location nature of the video seems to be symbolic of the song’s theme, taking aim against the overstimulation in society.

Eddie Cohn is a seasoned music artist, having released his debut album over two decades ago. “Weight of the World” is his latest release, but surely not his last. Stay tuned for Eddie Cohn’s forthcoming masterful tunes.
