TIANA is a 16-year-old independent artist and producer from Botoșani, Romania, who has taken full control over her creative universe. Handling everything from songwriting and composition to mixing, mastering, and video editing, she represents a new generation of “do-it-yourself” creators who build their sound from the ground up in their own home studios. Her musical journey is marked by an early start in competitions, but it truly found its direction when she began writing her own stories. After releasing her debut fourteen-track album, 4TEEN, at the age of fourteen, TIANA committed to a rigorous creative pace. In 2026, she is following a self-imposed challenge to release a new single every month.
With “good girl, gone bad (supremacy)” out now, we took some time to hear from TIANA. Read below to learn more about TIANA, the story behind “good girl, gone bad (supremacy),” and what’s to come.
Hi TIANA! Let’s start with how did you get your artist name?
TIANA is actually my real name, so it felt natural to use it. However, I realized early on that there were many people with the same name online, and I wanted to be easy to find and identify. Because of that, back in 2019, I decided to make it an official registered trademark. It was a way to protect my identity as an artist and to build a unique brand around my music from the very beginning.
What city are you from, and where are you based now?
I’m from Botoșani, Romania, and I am still based here. This is where my home studio is, and it’s my favorite place to create. Being in my own space gives me the freedom to experiment and work on my music at any hour.
At what point in your life did you decide to pursue a career in music? How did you get started?
I’ve been singing and competing since I was very young, but the real shift happened when I discovered I could tell my own stories through songwriting. At fourteen, I wrote and produced my first album, 4TEEN, with fourteen tracks. Looking back, it was a very natural and raw beginning, and that’s when I knew this was what I wanted to do for the rest of my life.
How would you describe your sound to readers who may not be familiar with you?
I’d describe it as honest, atmospheric Alt-Pop. Since I handle the lyrics, production, and mixing myself, the sound is very personal. I’m quite a perfectionist—I often create ten different versions of a song just to find the one that hits exactly the right emotion.
Do you have any hobbies outside of music? What do you do to stay creative?
Music takes up most of my time, but I also enjoy editing my own music videos. To stay creative, I just observe what’s happening around me. Sometimes a single feeling or a moment of frustration can turn into a whole song within hours.
Who are some of your main musical influences?
Globally, I’ve always been inspired by Beyoncé because of her incredible work ethic, her power, and the way she commands the stage. Closer to home, I truly admire INNA. She’s a great example of a Romanian artist who managed to break international borders with her music and build a global career, which is something I find very motivating for my own journey.
Who would be a dream to collaborate with?
If I could choose any artist to collaborate with, it would definitely be Alan Walker. I’ve always been fascinated by his ability to create such a powerful, mysterious atmosphere using signature electronic sounds. As someone who produces her own music and spends hours perfecting the “vibe” of a track, I feel our sonic worlds would blend perfectly. My dream is to combine my storytelling and vocals with that iconic, cinematic production style of his. It wouldn’t just be a song; it would be a whole mood.
What’s one of the proudest moments of your music career so far?
Releasing my first full album at fourteen was a big moment, but I’m also very proud of my growth this year. Being able to handle the entire production process of “good girl, gone bad (supremacy)” on my own and seeing it resonate with people is a great feeling.
What would you say are the greatest lessons that you’ve learned so far?
I’ve learned that you have to be your own biggest fan and hardest worker. No one will care about your music as much as you do. Also, I’ve learned that “perfect” is the enemy of “done”—sometimes you just have to release the song and move to the next story.
Now onto your release, “good girl, gone bad (supremacy).” What inspired this song?
The song was inspired by the feeling of transformation. It’s about that moment when you decide to stop being what everyone else expects you to be and you start owning your power. It’s a song about confidence and reclamation.
What was the inspiration behind the cover artwork for “good girl, gone bad (supremacy)?”
To be honest, choosing the artwork is one of the most difficult tasks for me. It’s a challenge to find a visual that perfectly matches the “soul” of the song, and I admit it’s an area where I’m still learning and growing. For this single, I wanted something that reflected the “supremacy” vibe—a mix of elegance and a darker edge—but the process of settling on the final image was quite a journey.
What was the creative process like when making “good girl, gone bad (supremacy)?”
Technically, the sound was the biggest challenge. I’m very picky about the mix and master, and I had many versions before the final one. Also, the social media promotion—making clips for TikTok and Reels is definitely the hardest part for me compared to making the music itself!
How long did it take to complete “good girl, gone bad (supremacy)?”
The song itself was written in about two days, but the production phase took a full month. I spent a lot of time fine-tuning the sound to make sure it felt right for my March release.
What do you hope fans take away from “good girl, gone bad (supremacy)” and your music in general?
I want them to feel empowered. I hope they hear my songs and feel like they’re not alone in their struggles or their desire to change and be stronger.
What’s next for you? Are you working on any upcoming projects, or do you have any upcoming shows that we should be on the lookout for?
I’m sticking to my plan for 2026: one new song every month. “good girl, gone bad (supremacy)” is my third release this year, and I’m already in the studio working on the next ones. My goal is to keep growing as a producer and artist.
