New York-based music collective The Big Happy make their 2025 debut with their sophomore album, Too Easy. The eight-track eclectic LP features five never-before-heard tracks and three fan favorites, “The Road (feat. Oogee Wawa),” “High School,” and “Pepsi.” The album is a truly unique masterpiece that is perfect for all as it carries a plethora of genres: Alternative, Funk, Indie, Hip-Hop/Rap, Reggae, Surf Rock, etc.

Too Easy, the title deriving from a phrase by their late friend, is reminiscent of music by Rage Against the Machine, Rebelution, and Slightly Stoopid. The lyrics within the songs resonate and are palpable. Songs like “Forever” stand out for their infectious energy and clever lyricism. While songs, such as “Twist & Turn,” are notable for their emotive, poignant messaging.

The Big Happy, composed of Austin Morgan (MC), Jeremy Wexler (drummer), Jeff Weisz (bassist), and Joseph Baquet (lead vocals and guitarist), unleashed a phenomenal, no-skip full-length album. Renowned sound engineer Dave Alini of The Sound Cellar deserves a standing ovation for his masterful mixing and mastering. The dream team created a dynamic album that has fans yearning for more tunes. Listeners find it too easy to play Too Easy on repeat.
