Musician Steve Young, who was one of the first people in the world to receive a revolutionary mRNA cancer vaccine, releases his latest project, Riffin for a Livin, with his band The Real Time Players, which features award-winning keys player Stevie Watts. The nine-track project is Steve Young’s second release of the year – it follows the lead singles, “Good Times” and “Black Betty.” The Alt-Country/Rock, Blues project is jam-packed with resonating, catchy jams.
Riffin for a Livin is a well-rounded body of work. It has songs for all; even the pickiest of listeners can find an anthem to enjoy. The immaculate project kicks off with the bouncy, up-tempo song, “Good Times.” It has emotive ballads like “Yeah.” Riffin for a Livin even has live songs like “One Man Jukebox,” which inspired the project’s title. “The title is inspired by the track, ‘One Man Jukebox,’ an autobiographical tale of my thirty-year journey singing literally all the songs (400+ and counting) to maintain a steady living and career as a self-employed entertainer,” Steve Young explains.
Riffin for a Livin is an iconic project. Apart from its availability on DSPs, Riffin for a Livin can be purchased in physical format. Go watch Steve Young play Riffin for a Livin and other hits live at his upcoming shows.
