Bay Area singer-songwriter Michellar releases her twelfth single of the year, “Get me there to Church.” The emotive record is an ode to the Country genre. The full-band sound and Michellar’s soothing vocals make the heartfelt record so delightful and tuneful.

“Get me there to Church” is a vulnerable, lovely piece as it is influenced by Michellar’s personal love story. The song perfectly captures the feelings and experience of saying “I do.” “Living together with the one that you chose is just not enough to assure one of eternal love between two people, so why not tie the knot after so many years and getting to church is all that needs doing.” Michellar continues, “I personally had this experience and reminiscing about those times in this song just makes me write those feelings that we both had at the time.”

The track’s recording process spanned from San Francisco to London and Staffordshire, UK. Michellar enlisted renowned producer Tobias Wilson for the song’s production and two incredible vocalists, Harrison Black and Helen Walford, to feature on the song. The dream team created a catchy, timeless record. Michellar followed up “Get me there to Church” with her newly released debut EP, My Alma Latina.
