With “Give Me Your love” out now, we took some time to hear from Prience Moore. Read below to learn more about Prience Moore, the story behind “Give Me Your love,” and what’s to come.

Hi Prience Moore! Let’s start with how did you get your artist name?

It’s my given name, Prience Moore Jr actually.

What city are you from and where are you based now?

Born and raised in Inkster, Michigan, I live in Seattle, Washington now.

At what point in your life did you decide to pursue a career in music? How did you get started?

I’ve always loved music, some of my earliest memories are from listening to The Isley Brother’s ‘Summer Breeze’ and ‘Sweet Baby’ by George Duke and Stanley Clarke rolling thru the streets on Detroit with Father.

I started singing in the Church choir as a kid, but didn’t pick up writing until high school.

How would you describe your sound to readers who may not be familiar with you?

Smooth, romantic grooves with flawless lyrics. No auto-tones, no gimmicks, just my natural voice over a smooth Michael Miller beat.

Do you have any hobbies outside of music? What do you do to stay creative?

I golf on occasion, but mainly in the studio or writing.

Who are some of your main musical influences?

As a youth, Michael Jackson was my sole inspiration, as I got older Babyface became my main musical influence with George Michaels close behind. But I listen and learn from many artists: Prince, Elton John, Phil Collins, Smokey Robinson, the list goes on.

I remember, when I was a kid, seeing Micheal Jackson and his brothers on TV perform in Europe, London maybe, with all the screaming fans. To perform in front of crowds like that, would be a dream come true.

What’s one of the proudest moments of your music career so far?

Recording my first song, ‘No You And Me Without The Kids,’ back in 2024.

What would you say are the greatest lessons that you’ve learned so far?

Don’t ever give up on your dreams, no matter what others may say!

Now onto your release, ‘Give Me Your love.’ What inspired this song?

A casual, meaningless encounter that was actually one sided. I saw a beautiful girl across a crowded room and thought to myself, ‘What would you do for her love?’

She left me with a song before I had the chance to approach her.

What is ‘Give Me Your love’ about?

Love man, all out love. The feeling of finding someone who loves you so much that you would do everything in your power to see them forever smile.

What was the creative process like when making ‘Give Me Your love?’

Once I get the chorus (which just hits me when I witness something inspiring), the verses flow easy like a story.

How long did it take to complete ‘Give Me Your love?’

Not long, maybe an hour to write and four hours in the studio creating the beat and laying down the vocals.

What is your favorite lyric in ‘Give Me Your love ’ and why?

Oh, that’s easy. ‘So many guys have come up to you and asked you for your hand but you just wasn’t looking for an ordinary man. Now that we found each other girl don’t it all make since why settle for a frog when you know you deserve a Prience’

Because, it happened in real life, and I didn’t realize it when I was writing. A friend of mine reminded me after he heard the track, and I was like, ‘Yeah, yeah I remember that’ – hilarious.

What message or messages do you hope fans take away from ‘Give Me Your love’ and your music in general?

‘Give Me Your love’ sets the premise that Love conquers all.

All my songs are romantic by nature. I’ve been asked to write party songs that you can dance too, but I just don’t feel it. I guess I’m just a hopeless romantic.

What’s next for you? Are you working on any upcoming projects, or do you have any upcoming shows that we should be on the lookout for?

I’m currently writing ‘What Would You Do.’ It’s a romantic song (of course) about a Love lost and a Love gained. Be out before Christmas.

No shows booked, but that will be on the horizon.

Where can we follow you on social media?

I’m not really up on social media, and I’ve been told I need to work on that. Videos on YouTube: www.youtube.com/@ecneirp.

And, all of my songs are on all the streaming services: Spotify, Apple, Amazon, iHeart, etc.

Thank you for the great interview; wish you much continued success!
