At the close of last year, renowned producer and songwriter Night Wolf released “Lost My Way Home” in collaboration with rising singer-songwriter Lois Powell. The single was the first release by the budding duo. The record was met with much acclaim and prompted the UK-based musicians to converge again. “Death of the Wolf,” released via EscaVolt Records, is the newest collaboration by the dynamic Lois Powell and Night Wolf.
“Death of the Wolf” is a cinematic, piano-laced Alt-Pop, Dark Pop anthem. The song’s moody, poignant production blends well with Lois Powell’s powerful, emotive vocals. The vulnerable record was born from a dark period in Night Wolf’s life, and its creation was cathartic. “I wrote this song and finished it during a very difficult time in my life as my mother passed away, and it allowed me to poor my sadness into it,” Night Wolf states. Night Wolf enlisted Lois Powell to co-write the song, which made the song less fully personal and more universally resonant.
Lois Powell and Night Wolf are currently working on a music video to bring the palpable song to life. The beautifully impassioned song is not the end of the duo.
