Frequent collaborators, Nigerian-American, Boston-based music artist Echezona and renowned producer JPRiZM, connect again for the song, “Rare.” “Rare” is an Afrobeat record that borrows from genres, such as Hip-Hop, Pop, and R&B/Soul. The masterful tune appears on the music duo’s debut album, Ényì. “Rare” gives a glimpse of the exuberant sound exuded from their first LP.

“Rare” is a passionate anthem with bouncy instrumentation. The song is a sincere jam about being authentic and in tune with emotions. Echezona exclaims: “The song is for the big-hearted souls out there. The love is there, but the love is rare. Take it for granted, and it might not stay.”

“Rare” is accompanied by a visualizer. The black-and-white visual for “Rare” is purposely simple yet perfectly captivating. It simplicity is its charm and furthers the song’s theme of being open and honest. Echezona states: “The ‘Rare’ video is not about flashy effects or over-the-top stunts. It’s about opening up with candid self-reflections, felt by many, and connecting through emotional truths.”

“Rare” is track three on Ényì. The nine-track album, released via Koma Toast LLC, is chock-full of songs that pay homage to African culture and tackle topics, such as love, community, introspection and extrospection. “Rare” is a one-of-a-kind soundscape. Press play on “Rare” and Ényì today.
