Hi CHANTARA! Let’s start with how did you get your artist name?
Chantara means moon water in Sanskrit. It’s a beautiful exotic name that I use as an artist name.
What city are you from and where are you based now?
I’m currently based in Los Angeles, and I was born in New York.
At what point in your life did you decide to pursue a career in music? How did you get started?
I grew up playing guitar, and I wrote songs when I was in high school. I started making music professionally since the pandemic.
Has your upbringing played a role in shaping who you are and defining your sound today? If so, how?
Yes, my latin and multicultural upbringing shaped and defined my sound. My music is a fusion of elements that coexist in the same place, in one song.
How would you describe your sound to readers who may not be familiar with you?
It is eclectic, mainly Latin Pop and Reggaeton.
Do you have any hobbies outside of music? What do you do to stay creative?
I love playing games, watching movies, and traveling to places for inspirations.
Who are some of your main musical influences?
Shakira, Celine Dion, Mariah Carey, Enrique Iglesias, and Marc Anthony as some of my greatest musical influences, which is evident in my music.
Who would be a dream to collaborate with?
Hopefully, I can do a collaboration with Maluma one day!!
What are some of your future music career goals?
To have more shows in L.A., nationwide, and hopefully, internationally.

Passion and love inspired this song.
What is ‘MANZANA’ about in your own words?
It’s a song about a girl who craves for sparks and the heat of the love from her lover.

‘Baby, I’m like a manzana and you’re my Adam, now bite me!’
What message do you hope fans take away from your music and from ‘MANZANA?’
That love is a beautiful thing that changes your life and should be cherished.
What’s one of the proudest moments of your music career so far?
To be able to build an audience in Latin America and people stream my songs.
What would you say are the greatest lessons that you’ve learned so far?
To believe in yourself.
