Los Angeles-based singer-songwriter Violet Whimsey releases her inaugural EP, PERSEPHONE. The five-track EP is a vulnerable project that bounces between various genres of music: Alt-Pop, Dark Pop, Indie Pop, etc. The EP consists of four fan-favorites and one never-before-heard song, “no stars.”

PERSEPHONE tackles deep topics that resonate with all. The songstress draws from personal experiences, which is evident from her introspective/extrospective lyrics and emotive vocals. “The EP was born from the ache of betrayal, grief, and the quiet collapse of once-unbreakable bonds.” Violet Whimsey continues, “Inspired by the myth of Persephone’s descent and return, these songs trace the shadows of depression and the fragile beauty of transformation.” PERSEPHONE kicks off with the songstress’ first single of the year/lead single, “what happened to our love?” The EP closes with the heartfelt Pop Rock anthem, “no stars.”

PERSEPHONE is an immaculate body of work that is cinematic, moody, and thought-provoking. The EP closed out Violet Whimsey’s 2025 discography. It’s incredible soundscape has fans yearning for her next masterpiece.
