Math Rock/Midwest Emo band The Yacht Club release “The Greatest Misadventure (Anniversary Edition),” which ends their two-year hiatus. The original version of the song was a part of the budding group’s 2015 debut titular EP, The Yacht Club. Now a decade since, The Yacht Club revisit and re-release “The Greatest Misadventure” as a way to pay homage to where they’ve been, and the latest rendition serves as a prelude of what’s to come.

The song features raw vocals and catchy instrumentation. The cadence and rhythmic guitar are captivating. The record’s palpable, resonating lyrics are timeless, which make it a great choice for a re-release. “Before releasing our new album, we wanted to pay respect to what came before.” Frontperson Marcus Gooda continues: “‘The Greatest Misadventure’ was a song that we loved, but long forgot how to play. It was invigorating to revive this in a fresh new light all these years later!”

“The Greatest Misadventure (Anniversary Edition)” is a teaser for the band’s forthcoming sophomore album. The re-comeback release was not only released digitally, but was released in a physical format. Purchase the 7″ vinyl of “The Greatest Misadventure (Anniversary Edition)” here.
