Spain’s Evelí Ray released her second single of 2025, “Elizabeth.” The song is a heartfelt, tranquil ballad. The emotive record’s tuneful, soothing instrumentation pairs well with Evelí Ray’s immaculate vocals and resonating storytelling.
“Elizabeth” is inspired by and titled after Evelí Ray’s mother. The song is a beautiful tribute. The record is an anthem for all mothers and a reminder to care for and value loved ones. “This song is actually an every mother’s anthem and the one dedicated to the Earth – our primal source of nourishment and care who we so often take for granted, just as our biological mothers.” Evelí Ray continues, “It’s a reminder that if we treat with respect our first caregivers, we might as well thrive in life and be the source of the same support for others.”
Evelí Ray collaborated with renowned musicians, such as Antonio Mazzei (piano) and Joan Miró Prat (kalimba and electronics). She enlisted GRAMMY winners Érico Moreira (mixing) and Felipe Tichauer (mastering) to mix and master “Elizabeth.” “Elizabeth” serves as a lead single for her upcoming debut album, Butterflies, which is slated to be released this year.
