Connecticut-based music project Collaborations, led by renowned songwriter Ed Daniels, opened up 2025 with their eleven-track debut album, Songs From The Heart Vol. 1. The LP is succeeded by the ensemble’s latest release, “You Gotta Know.” “You Gotta Know” is a soothing Indie, Orchestral Pop song.

The smooth, inspirational record modernizes a nostalgic ’60s/’70s sound. The single aims to motivate listeners to take a stand. The palpable, resonating message is apropos for the times. “‘You Gotta Know’ is meant to inspire listeners to question and challenge the status quo and take action,” Ed Daniels states.

“You Gotta Know” was truly a collaborative effort by a dream team. Ed Daniels co-wrote the song alongside rising star Anais Preller – Anais Preller also served as the lead vocalist on the song. Vic Steffens, owner of top-notch Horizon Studios, produced the track. Acclaimed orchestrator Matt Oestreicher was responsible for the orchestration. GRAMMY Award-winner Scott Spray was the bass player, Tim Dehuff was the lead guitarist, Tom Naggy was the drummer, and Kevin Monroe and Devotion were the background singers. The tuneful collaboration lives up to the group’s name. “You Gotta Know” has fans yearning for the next collaboration from Collaborations.
