Singer and multi-instrumentalist Ben Aubergine makes his debut after a decades-long hiatus. The ER doctor’s passion for music never disappeared. He is revisiting his passion and now unveils his debut single, “Spoke For What I Knew.” The song was written in 1998 and proves to be worth the wait.

“Spoke For What I Knew” is an Alt-Rock, Indie Pop heartfelt jam. The record explores love and relationships. It details a relationship on its last leg. “The song explores the fragile space between two people when emotions are misaligned – where a moment of intimate honesty creates irresolvable tension.” Ben Aubergine continues, “It’s a song about relational asymmetry and how sometimes separation is the only way out.”

“Spoke For What I Knew” has a catchy cadence and killer breakdown. Ben Aubergine‘s smooth, raw vocals shine within the track. The crooner enlisted renowned engineer Ruben Cohen of Lurssen Mastering to master the record, while Ben Aubergine showcased his vast musical skillset by mixing “Spoke For What I Knew” himself.

The release was accompanied by a music video. The visual pieces together various somber, artsy scenes and brings the song to life. The video cleverly uses the imagery of a balloon throughout the video, which eventually floats away; thus, furthering the song’s theme.

The rookie-veteran demonstrates that it is never to late to chase dreams. “Spoke For What I Knew” is a terrific piece that resonates with all listeners and a prelude of what to expect from Ben Aubergine. “Spoke For What I Knew” is exactly what the doctor ordered.
