“Voices” has a synthy, poignant sound that accentuates the song’s theme. The record is a mental health anthem, and touches on depression and its ill effects. “This song is about fighting the negative self-talk, inner demons, and the voices in our heads,” Valiancy explains.
Valiancy handled everything in-house – writing, recording, mixing, and production – which furthers the track’s emotional, personal nature.
