New York’s finest Energy Whores kick off 2026 with their debut album, Arsenal of Democracy. The ten-track LP is an Electronic Art Pop/Rock extravaganza. The album includes the titular song, “Arsenal of Democracy,” several fan favorites, and never-before-heard songs. The enthralling project is littered with bouncy beats and palpable lyrics.
Arsenal of Democracy starts off with up-tempo songs, then slows down the BPM, which makes the album a full body of work with a song for any and all listeners. The avant-garde nature of the album furthers the album’s social commentary and critiques of society. Energy Whores draw from lived experiences and observations, providing listeners with thought-provoking introspective and extrospective views. “Songs interrogate manufactured hate, propaganda, extreme wealth inequality, misinformation, consumer obsession, authoritarian power, technological overreach, surveillance culture, AI dominance, and bunker-era escapism, not as distant concepts, but as pressures bearing down on everyday life.” Energy Whores continue, “The album’s emotional range is wide: moments of urgency and confrontation sit alongside sadness, intimacy, and mourning.”
Arsenal of Democracy is apropos for the times. The budding duo have since followed up the masterful LP. “Fade To Gray” features Grant (NYC) and has a unique, enchanting soundscape. Energy Whores have much more in store. Stay tuned for their next masterpiece.
