Music sensation Dax kicked off the year with an emotive single, “Temptation.” The song was met with much acclaim, accumulating millions of streams and views. The multifaceted music artist kicks off the spring with a soul-stirring anthem, “God, Can You Hear Me?” The piano-driven, electric guitar-laced record has resonating, impassioned lyrics, making the song a genre-bending masterpiece.

“God, Can You Hear Me?” is a vulnerable piece as the song was inspired by Dax’s real struggles. The song details a downtrodden individual wavering in faith and desperate for answers. The somber song is meant to make listeners feel seen, heard, understood, and less alone.

The jarring music video for “God, Can You Hear Me?” adds imagery to the record. The gut-wrenching visual furthers the heartfelt song’s message. The music video, shot by renowned director Patrick Tohill, depicts a man losing hope and taking his life. But, at the end, the final act is rewound and seemingly shows that it was a palpable thought instead of an actual occurrence.

Dax is no stranger to pushing boundaries and getting provocatively real like Eminem. “God, Can You Hear Me?” is an example. The song and music video are extremely well made and do a terrific job at balancing melancholy and motivation. Press play and hear “God, Can You Hear Me?”
