Hi Amely! Tell us about who you are and where you are from.
I am a student and work as an actress alongside school. I was born and raised in Berlin, where I still live today.
How did you get your start in the entertainment industry? How long have you been in the industry?
Acting has been a part of my life for several years now and is my greatest passion. It all started because my brothers are actors too. When I was little, they heard that a baby was needed for a film production. They joked, ‘We’ve got one lying around at home,’ and just like that, I ended up in the film. That was my very first film project.
As a toddler, I continued with modeling and commercial work, and when I was eight years old, I officially signed with an acting agency.
So, technically, I got into the film business before I could even walk.
What led you to choose this career path? What makes your story unique?
I’ve always loved stepping into different roles and exploring emotions through acting.
What makes my story unique is that I grew up with acting being part of everyday life. From a very young age, I was on sets, in front of cameras, and surrounded by creativity. It never felt like a job, it felt natural. And, even as I got older, that love for acting only grew stronger.
What was your first role? How many acting credits do you have so far?
Technically, my very first role was as a baby in a Polizeiruf episode. But, my first real role after signing with my agency was in Käthe und ich.
So far, I’ve had three bigger roles, but I’ve also done many smaller parts, but I honestly don’t know the exact number anymore.
How was the audition process for Netflix’s How to Sell Drugs Online (Fast)?
The audition process was really exciting. I first recorded an e-casting at home, and then I was invited to a live casting in Cologne. I already felt very comfortable in the character.
After that, we had to wait a bit . . . and then I got the call that I got the role! It was such an intense and beautiful moment.
What was it like on set, and what were some of your favorite moments from the show?
Being on set was a wonderful experience — it really felt like a little family. We had so much fun during breaks and enjoyed spending time together.
One of my favorite moments was filming the birthday scene — it was my character’s birthday, but it almost felt like my own. I also loved the scenes with the whole family, especially with the dog. They felt so cozy and real.
How has the success of the show impacted you?
The success of How to Sell Drugs Online (Fast) definitely opened new doors for me. It gave me the chance to be seen by more people in the industry and led to new opportunities, more auditions, more roles, and more confidence in myself as an actress.
Do you have any role models or influences that have guided your journey?
Yes, my role model is Madelyn Cline. I admire her talent and the way she brings her characters to life.
I’m also really inspired by the people that I’ve worked with on set. Watching how experienced actors prepare, stay focused, but still keep it fun has taught me a lot. And of course, my own family has been a huge influence – they’ve supported me from the very beginning and always encouraged me to follow my passion.
What words of advice do you have for people with similar aspirations?
Don’t be afraid to start small. Every experience counts, even the tiniest role. Be patient, stay curious, and always be yourself – there’s no one else like you, and that’s your biggest strength.
Any upcoming roles or projects that we should currently be on the lookout for?
At the moment, I’m just waiting to hear back from some e-castings.
